Haines Gas Services Pty Limited established at Erina on the Central Coast of N.S.W. in 1977 was the first specialist Liquified Petrol Gas company in Australia to offer a fully comprehensive inspection and repairs service on bulk L.P. Gas storage vessels.

Operations were originally confined to within the state of N.S.W., however expansion into other states has established the company as a truly national operator.

Recent attainment of Quality Assurance Certification through Standards Australia has further enhanced this pioneer company as a respected leader within their industry.

Production is limited to a maximum of 600 models.

Extract from MICA MAGAZINE MARCH/APRIL 1998: Haines' Gas Services commissioned the revamped models from Automodels Pty. This company was established at Erina on the Central Coast of New South Wales twenty-one years ago.
Haines' Gas was the first specialist liquefied petrol gas company in Australia to offer a fully comprehensive inspection and repairs service on bulk liquid petroleum gas storage vehicles. Operations were originally confined to within the state of New South Wales. However, recent expansions into other states has established the company as a truly national operator.
The model is in an attractive and authentic colour scheme of off-white body and tank, with black wings and baseplate.
Two-toned blue flames were tampo printed onto the sides of the cab.

Variations/Rarities: A batch of 100 models designated for the owner of the company were different to the other 500 models in that the cab roof and the wheels were black.
Apart from the first 100 with black wheels, it had red 12-spoke wheels with whitewall tyres.

Total production was strictly limited to 600, the majority of which were delivered to the Haines' Gas headquarters in December 1997.
